Join us for a sneak preview into a social-first, teen-first, vaping-first intervention developed in partnership with Hopelab, UCSF, and Rescue Agency. Through peer support groups on Instagram, we educate teens on quitting, provide behavioral and cognitive coping tools to make quitting easier, and connect them with social support from other teens who are trying to quit.

Danielle Ramo, Ph.D.
Senior Director of Research, Hopelab
Dr. Danielle Ramo is a licensed clinical psychologist, researcher in digital mental health, and senior director of research at Hopelab, a social innovation lab designing science-based technologies to support adolescent health. She is also adjunct faculty at UC San Francisco leading a program of research in teen vaping and digital mental health. She has published over 85 peer-reviewed publications and multiple book chapters in substance use and mental health, and speaks and writes widely about teen mental health in the digital age. Michelle Bellon

Michelle Bellon has led over 100 behavior change initiatives including evidence-based and therapy-centered programs. She has led communications work across the full range of tobacco control, ranging from teen prevention, to smoke-free policy, to adult cessation at the federal, state and local levels.
Pamela Ling, MD, MPH

Director, Center for Tobacco Control Research and Education, University of California San Francisco
Dr. Pamela Ling is a general internist and Professor of Medicine at the University of California San Francisco, where she conducts research on tobacco, media, and social marketing. Her work includes analyses of thousands of previously secret tobacco industry documents detailing marketing strategies and translating lessons learned to improve tobacco control efforts. Dr. Ling has special interest in young adult tobacco use, counter-engineering tobacco industry marketing, the global proliferation of U.S. tobacco marketing strategies, novel tobacco product marketing including e-cigarettes, and using market research strategies to guide clinical and public health interventions.
