LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Communities around the world are currently facing significant mental health challenges. According to the World Health Organization, around 800,000 individuals die by suicide each year, approximately 20% of the world’s children and adolescents have a mental disorder, and depression affects nearly 264 million people worldwide. Drug and alcohol misuse has increased in recent years, as well, as many populations turn to substance use as a way to cope with growing mental health challenges.

Collectively, we must work together to help destigmatize mental health challenges and, instead, normalize finding resources to ease this mental health crisis facing our communities. In our new webinar, we’ll share findings from our work creating mental health and suicide prevention campaigns for youth, teens, health care workers, adults, and more populations. Our experts will provide action plans you can implement today to better meet the needs of your priority populations as they face mounting mental health concerns. You'll learn how to:

  • Avoid common missteps when developing mental health campaigns
  • Apply an evidence-based messaging strategy for mental health and suicide prevention communications
  • Apply key findings from research conducted with priority populations, like teens and young adults, to create effective campaigns to properly support and connect people to relevant resources
