LEARNING OBJECTIVES

ICYMI: Over the past several years, government assistance programs have experienced dwindling enrollments, despite the fact that millions of Americans are living in food-insecure households and constantly worried about being able to pay rent month after month. In 2020, TANF cash assistance experienced its lowest enrollment in program history. Similarly, nearly half of the qualifying families are enrolled in WIC, and 57% of potentially SNAP-eligible college students are not participating.

Why are so many eligible Americans not enrolling in government assistance programs? In our newest 1-hour webinar, our experts will discuss the major barriers preventing Americans from enrolling in government assistance programs, as well as how to create relevant, effective communications that can break through these barriers and offer destigmatizing ways to promote government services. You’ll learn how to:

  • Create cohesive brands and communications campaigns that complement on-the-ground outreach
  • Prioritize the audiences who need your message the most and avoid a “one-size-fits-all” messaging approach
  • Implement our evidence-based messaging framework SAVI to encourage participation and retention
