LEARNING OBJECTIVES
According to CDC provisional data, opioids accounted for approximately 75% of all overdose deaths during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, with 80% of those overdoses resulting from synthetic opioids like fentanyl. Additionally, research shows that rates of addiction and opioid misuse are up, especially in light of COVID-related isolation. To combat this growing crisis, public health agencies need to both prevent use of synthetic opioids and help those with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) find the treatment they need. Effective communications can demystify treatment, address misconceptions about what options exist, reduce stigma, and promote recovery as a process of strength.
In our newest webinar, experts will leverage in-depth audience research to break down advanced approaches for reducing fentanyl overdoses and promoting treatment for OUD. They’ll also discuss how to counter pro-substance culture and reduce stigma through audience-centric digital communications. This will help you start to shift the culture around substance use in your community and tackle these urgent issues head-on.
Throughout this one-hour webinar, you’ll learn how to:
- Address two of the most urgent health issues we face: overdoses and addiction.
- Overcome challenges perpetuated by decades-old pitfalls of anti-drug communication strategies.
- Combat stigma and pro-drug culture in a way that is relevant and motivating to at-risk audiences.
